PORUTUGUESE FADO LIKE A MUSICAL MIRACLE

DEEPLY MELANCHOLIC FADO SONGS COVERED WITH THE SOUND OF PIANO AND SYNTETHISERS SEEM TO BE THE ABSOLUTE MUSICAL MIRACLE.

Raül Refree, a  Spanish producer, musician and composer, was brave enough to break the unwritten rules of Portuguese fado songs. Raul and Lina, a Portuguese singer, chose the classic repertoire of Amalia Rodrigues. Amalia Rodrigues, who died in 1999, is known as the queen of fado and is considered one of the greatest artists of Portuguese history.
Lina warned Raüla - “we won’t be accepted by everyone“ – and she was right. Traditionalists were shocked, but the record was enthusiastically acclaimed by European media, it was among the most successful albums of 2020, number one on the European world music chart. They created something new and timeless, something that the world needs to listen to. Analog synths and hushed sonics. Making history by breaking the rules.
