SONGS FROM THE FINNISH OLD FORESTS IN THE CASTLE DEER PARK.

A COMMENTED WALK THROUGH THE FOREST WHERE YOU WILL EVEN BE ABLE TO PLAY.

A walk through the forest does not necessarily have to include just admiring nature, picking mushrooms or raspberries and stumbling over stumps. If you are accompanied by expert Eng. Tomáš Sedláček, you will learn something about the forest. But that is not all, at the end you will have a concert and not just any concert, because you will play a lot on instruments made directly in the forest, from the forest and in a way with the help of the forest, which will also provide material for art installations.
We know the singer, composer and zither player Barbora Xu from Folkovky well: in 2024, for example, she led the Citery nad Oslavou. She lives with her family in Finland and this year she is bringing a unique concert project Old Forest Echoes from there, which she and the Finnish artist Tommi Laine will bring to the Castle Deer Park, accompanied by double bassist Petr Tichý and violinist Petra Jelénková.
Tommi Laine, an artist dealing with environmental issues and the dialogue between the forest, music and various crafts, will build a lot of proto instruments for the concert on site from materials and possibilities offered by the forest, so it will definitely not be an ordinary concert, because we have no idea how songs from Finnish primeval forests can sound among the trees of the Castle Deer Park.
