SONGS ABOUT LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP FROM THE UKRAINIAN FOREST
Natalie Rybka-Parkhomenko and Marie Oneshchak are two singers and musicians who present musical magic realism connected with the ancient past. They have implemented their experiences from the avant-garde theatre Les Kurbas in the city of Lvov into their performance of folk music. They experiment with the voices and sounds of musical instruments, they fill the space with a magic atmosphere and provide the listeners transcendental experience. Their Ukrainian folk songs, stories and ballads tell us about the beauty of nature, life, friendship, relation to their country and people who are willing to live there and don’t want to leave. The songs reflect the war and the faith in victory, the same as strong respect for every single man and woman protecting Ukraine and its children.
