STANO PALÚCH, KACPER MALISZ AND RYAN YOUNG

EVRYONE HAS HIS WAY AND STYLEE BUT TOGETHER TUNED IN HARMONY

According to the traditions that started some years ago, the three of them and other invited musicians will share the experience, learn from each other, play and rehearse in Náměšť. Finally, on Friday the 28 th of June, they will come on the stage with a band and present what it is like when an outstanding Slovak fiddler, an amazing Polish violinist and a virtuoso Scottish fiddle player meet and create together.

Ryan Young (Scotland)

A fiddle player who believes that playing with your heart is everything that should matter. Thirty-two years old Ryan Young performs Scottish traditional music in his unique way. He is inspired by Irish fiddle styles. Young has been awarded a lot of prizes for his music and virtuosity.

Kacper Malisz (Poland)

A violin genius wandering between tradition and jazz. He is a member of a famous family trio Kapela Maliszów (The Malisz Band) from the Polish Lower Beskydy region who  characterize themselves with self-confidence: “We don’t play traditional music, we are tradition.“ However, he also performs jazz and classical music and he is a great improviser. He studies jazz at the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw but he is an essential part of the family band that respects tradition.

Stano Palúch (Slovakia)

An outstanding fiddler and composer characterized by: “I am just interested in music, music and music.“ He doesn’t make a difference between jazz, classical music, swing, bluegrass and traditional music. He is not changeable like the weather, he follows music, which is close and inspiring for him. And he is always surrounded by excellent musicians who are coming with him to Náměšť as well.
