COUNTRY MUSIC PERFORMED THE WAY YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE
Congo Cowboys is a band formed by Freshlyground members Simon Attwell (banjo), Julio Sigauque (bass) and Congolese lead singer Chris Bakalanga (guitar), together with South African drummer Unity Mzi.
They have released two albums and they are ready for the world to discover them, their participation in the TV music competition series My Kind of Country produced by American singer Kacey Musgraves and actress Reese Witherspoon, might be helpful on their way. This competition aims to change the opinion that country music is “white music“.
And because this is not only an American point of view, Congo Cowboys are ready to bring a bit of Africa to My Kind of Country.
