SINGER-SONGWRITER JAN FIC AND MAX BRAUN FROM THE ALTERNATIVE ROCK BAND DPvJU PLAY THE BLUES
LIKE A BOY WHO PLOUGHED UP THE BLUES AT HOME
“Domalis” is the one who, during the concert, finds themselves closer to home — so this time, it’s blues singer-songwriter Jan Fic. Meanwhile, Max Braun, guitarist of the alternative rock band DPvJU, will have to wait until they’re closer to Prague to claim that title.
Both bring the right kind of bluesy humour, so expect to laugh a few times during the show. Don’t take too seriously the talk about old-school acoustic bluesmen who can’t play without a drink in hand. On the other hand, the rumours that they will indulge after the concert are probably true — even if the musicians insist they’ve already had their last and would now rather have a piece of toast than another drop of “liquid bread.”
As they themselves put it, Domalis & Oralis are just a regular blues duo — offering a mix of blues, folk, laughter, and a fearless balancing act on the edge of awkwardness, often tumbling right over it with a grin.
