It’s going to be a blast—and a pop one at that! Seriously, why else would they name their latest album this way? The band is celebrating nearly thirty years of existence during which they’ve proudly claimed to be the one and only, unmistakable klezmer band in town—even if, at times, their connection to Eastern European Jewish music has been about as distant as Amsterdam is from the Moon.
This seven-piece group of multi-instrumentalists and vocalists has been igniting dance parties since 1996. With eighteen albums under their belt, they’ve proven even to the most discerning listeners that klezmer remains a central pillar of their artistic identity. And when they do stray from tradition, it’s only to keep it vibrant, alive, and pulsing with fresh energy.
