L'ALBA (CORSICA)
BEAUTIFUL POLYPHONY FROM CORSICA, SO DIFFERENT EACH TIME
MAGNIFICENT POLYPHONY ACCOMPANIED BY A HARMONIUM FROM INDIA, VIOLIN, FLUTES AND A MANDOLIN
If they start their performance with a song Paghjella, you will say, well, traditional polyphony from Corsica. Structured around a polyphonic base their music has freed itself from the rules and recreated new ones, using sounds from India, Spain, Greece, North African rhythms, Balkan and Mediterranean countries. To make it even more interesting their voices mingle with guitars, harmonium, violin, flutes, clarinets and mandolin. Don’t worry and stay relaxed as the five singers from Corsica. They are just bringing a new dimension with new influences and giving Corsican music a new course.
