It’s nearly half a century since Jiří Pavlica has been leading the band Hradišťan. Over the years, they have evolved into a kind of renaissance institute of Moravian folk music — guided by the belief that if something comes from the heart, there’s no reason to be afraid.
What’s certain is that they remain a shining beacon of all that is good in people who deeply respect and cherish the music passed down from their ancestors. Yet they’ve never hesitated to push that tradition forward — artistically enriching it with the present moment and wrapping it into a beautiful package that future generations will continue to unwrap for years to come.
